Presently there is only one water transmission line leaving the Chatham Water Treatment Plant.  The water line leaves the plant and flows toward McNaughton Avenue to feed the distribution system.  In 2013 and 2014 there were breaks in the line.  In order to maintain service to the residents, an above ground temporary line needed to be installed from the plant to Grand Avenue.  These temporary lines were costly to install.  This new, permanent 600 mm transmission line will supply water from the plant to Grand Avenue. This will assist in securing the supply of potable water to the residents it serves as a secondary waterline from the treatment plant.

The Chatham Water Treatment Plant - New Water Main from Chatham High Lift Pumping Station to Grand Avenue Project has a total projected value of $530,000. The timeline for this project is September 2016 to March 2018.
