The Chatham Sanitary Pump Station #1 has been in operation since 1978 without any major improvements or upgrades. Currently the station is experiencing operation issues which require replacement of existing electrical controls and mechanical systems. The equipment being replaced includes: the two main 25hp centrifugal pumps, interior piping and valves, pump station control panel and motor starters, drywell ventilation system and wetwell sluice gate. These improvements will increase the reliability of the pump station and provide operational efficiencies through the introduction of up-to-date equipment.
The Chatham Wastewater Pump Station #1 - Rehabilitation Project has a total projected value of $274,000. The timeline for this project is November 2016 to March 2018.
