Routes

The following routes are available for Inter-Urban transit:

  • Route A: Offers transportation between Chatham, Wallaceburg, and Dresden.
  • Route C: Offers transportation between Chatham, Charing Cross, Blenheim and Ridgetown.
  • Route D: Offers transportation between Chatham, Charing Cross, Cedar Springs, Dealtown, North and South Buxton, Merlin and Tilbury.
  • Seasonal Route S1: The Seasonal Beach Bus provides public transportation to Lake St. Clair and Lake Erie.  The Seasonal Beach Bus serves Chatham, Erieau and Mitchell's Bay with stops in Grande Point, Pain Court, Charing Cross and Blenheim.

*  Seniors are 65 years or older.  ID showing proof of age is required.

** Student ID or proof of full time registration is required at time of purchase and may be requested at time of boarding.

Departure Times

The departure times from the Downtown Chatham terminal for Inter-Urban Transit are as follows:

  • Morning: 6:15 am and 8:45 am

  • Afternoon: 4:15 pm and 6:45 pm

Exact Fare Policy

Exact fare is required on all Inter-Urban Transit Bus Routes. Drivers do not carry change.

Transfer Policy

A valid transfer is accepted as full fare on all CK Transit Bus Routes (Inter-Urban and Conventional Services), except the Inter-Urban route that the transfer was issued on. Transfers must be requested at the time the fare is paid and must be used by the person to whom it was issued.

Timed Transfer: A valid transfer may be used on another Inter-Urban Route or a Conventional Route in the AM or PM, whichever period the transfer was issued in.

The Inter-Urban Transit Service is happy to accommodate those patrons who currently use the accessible transit bus service. We recommend you call 519.436-3233, 24-48 hours in advance to book a seat on the Inter-Urban Service.
