Technology TrainingIn partnership with Employment and Social Services, Chatham-Kent Public Library can help connect you with community services, fill in applications and more. Open to all, CKPL invites you to come in for free sessions available at all eleven CKPL locations.

The Community Navigator program serves all Chatham-Kent Public Library patrons through our 11 branch library system - all you need is a library card! With the help of a Community Navigator, CKPL can:

  • provide one-on-one instruction in accessing government, social and health services online
  • assist with completing online forms and applications
  • help with referrals to community agencies, 
  • provide employment support and referrals to employment support agencies
  • help to identifying continuing learning opportunities based on your individual needs

Community Wellness Day  

  • Date: Saturday, February 16
  • Time: 11:00 am to 1:00 pm
  • Location: Chatham Branch Meeting Room

A free one hour yoga session will be offered by Simon Swanek from Body Language CK from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. St. John's Ambulance therapy dogs will then come to say hello from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm and an arts and crafts table will be available nearby for those that are feeling creative! Please come on by and join us to boost your sense of wellness and community over the cold winter months! Registration not required. 

Chatham ID Clinic

Date: Thursday, April 11
Time: 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm

Location: Chatham Branch 

We can assist with applying for a Birth Certificate and/or Photo ID Card. Service Canada will be onsite to issue Social Insurance Numbers and/or Personal Access Codes. Financial screening will be available to determine if you qualify to have the cost of ID covered. Pick up a "What Do I Need to Bring" bookmark at your local library today. Appointments available on a first come, first serve basis. 

Wallaceburg ID Clinic

Date: Friday, April 12
Time: 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm

Location: Wallaceburg Branch

Rent SmartRentSmart Tenant Education Program 

RentSmart is a training program to teach individuals how to be good tenants, how to budget, and look after a home. As well as how to communicate with landlords, neighbours, roommates, and others.
