A different activity will be available each week in the library.

Baby Weigh-in and Development Clinic (Third Wednesday of the month)

Dates: June 19, July 17, August 21 
Time: 10:00  to 11:00 am

Bring your baby or toddler in to be weighed by a Chatham-Kent Public Health nurse. They will answer your questions about growth and development for your little one. 

Get Your Summer Read On!

Date:  Saturday, June 22
Time:  10:00 am to 2:00 pm

Sign up for the TD Summer Reading Club! Registration starts today for this wonderful summer program. Drop in to sign your child up for a summer of literacy fun. Through books, programs, and conversations, TD Summer Reading Club kids will explore their own backyards and the world beyond, and will be amazed by the natural world and the role it plays in their imaginations and daily lives. Visit often for your chance to win prizes. Drop in each week for new Stay and Play activities. Children who participate in TD Summer Reading Club have the opportunity to read fines-free all summer long! Ask branch staff for details.

It's All in the Rings

Roll with the Rocks

Play with our Story Stones, then paint some cool designs on rocks to take home. All ages.

I Survived a Volcano

Lava and heat and rocks – oh my! Learn why volcanos are wonderful creators and destructive forces of nature. All ages.

August TD Summer Reading Club Programming:

Do you know what sound a goose makes? A whale? A caribou? You will after we explore the sounds that Canadian animals make. All ages. 

All About Birds

Did you know that birds are related to dinosaurs? Come out to this program to learn about all things birds - and maybe even become one yourself! All ages. 

The Bubbleology Show at Wheatley Arena - 196 Erie St. N

Stunningly beautiful, mind-blowing, magical and hilarious for all ages! Miss. T The Bubble Queen and her Bubbleology Show brings a magical show that is a bubble extravaganza of comedic, wondrous, silly, simple, magical with a mix of sophisticated bubble tricks. All ages.

Class visits or group visits are always welcome at Wheatley Branch. Come for a visit, browse the books, find out about our free databases or participate in a program designed just for you. Staff are available to come to your location. Contact staff to arrange a visit. 516.825.7131. Visits are arranged around the needs of the class and teacher.
