Winter Reading Program

Date: January 27 to March 14

Children 14 years and younger.

Beginning Family Literacy Day, for each book you read a reading club book mark will be stamped.  After 10 stamps, you can bring your bookmark to Harvey's in Wallaceburg to get a free kids meal! Coupons may be redeemed until March 31st. Sponsored by Wallaceburg's Harvey's Serving Swiss Chalet.

Reading Buddies

Date: January 30, February 6, 13, 20, 27, March 5

Time:  Appointment times: 6:00 pm / 6:30 pm / 7:00 pm 

Reading Buddies offers free one-on-one assistance to children in grades 1 through 6 who like to practice reading. Volunteers spend 30 minutes with each child encouraging and motivating them to read using literacy-based games, activities and high-interest readers.

Our friends from the Canadian National Institute for the Blind are visiting the library! Meet a guide dog, and learn the do's and don'ts of guide dogs in public. Learn the story of Braille and Braille your own name! Drop-in. Open to children of all ages. Registration not required. 

World of Wellness

Present by Chatham-Kent Community Health Centres. World of Wellness offers a variety of activities such as coffee and conversation, movies, crafts, yoga, painting and more! Registration not required. 

Bees and Pollinators: How Important Are They To Us?

Adult Colouring and Puzzles

What a great way to spend a few minutes or hours! Colouring is a great way to de-stress and relax. Open to everyone ages 16 and older. We even provide the materials! We have a large poster to complete that reads, "Love Your Library." Drop in. 

Scrabble Club

How do you spell fun? S-C-R-A-B-B-L-E! Drop in to the Wallaceburg Branch for a friendly game. All skills levels are welcome. Bring your own board or borrow one from the library. Registration is not required.

Chicks with Sticks

Do you like to knit or crochet? Would you like to learn how? Join us every Thursday afternoon to trade patterns, give suggestions or to learn how to knit or crochet. Always something different for the change in season!

Class visits or group visits are always welcome at the Wallaceburg Branch. Come for a visit, browse the books, find out about our free databases or participate in a program designed just for you.
