Family Storytime

Please join Miss Susan for a Family Storytime at Ridgetown Branch every Thursday morning until October 17.  Everyone is most welcome, registration is not required but advance notice would be greatly appreciated.  

Adult Book Club

Adult Book Club, will be discussing "Washington Black" by Esi Eduyan.  No registration is required, copies of the book can be picked up at the Ridgetown Branch prior to the September meeting.

LEGO League Jr.

Date: Tuesdays, September 17 to October 22
Time:  6:30 pm to 7:30 pm

Ridgetown Branch is hosting this hands on STEM program geared toward children ages 6 to 10, for six weeks starting September 17. This program uses LEGO elements to help the participants create and build using basic engineering and programming skills. Register online at search.ckpl.ca, keyword Ridgetown or by contacting the Ridgetown Branch at 519.674.3121.

Book Art Workshop

"Escape to Azkaban: Harry Potter Breakout Room"

Date: Friday, September 27
Time:  10:00 am to 4:00 pm

Join us at the Ridgetown Branch on Friday, September 27.  Teams will have 30 minutes to search for clues and solve puzzles that will lead to a hidden portkey that will transport them out of Azkaban, the notorious wizard prison. Wizards, witches and muggles can register in teams of 2 to 5 at any CKPL branch or online by searching "Escape from Azkaban" at search.ckpl.ca, keyword Ridgetown, Escape Room. Registration will begin on September 3.  Only one person from each group needs to register for a timeslot.

Discover sustainable living! Learn tips and tricks you can use to save the planet and find out how Chatham-Kent is becoming more sustainable. Please join us and Reanne Rekker, a self-taught Sustainability Guru, as we begin our journey. Everyone is welcome, no pre-registration is required. 

Adult Book Club

PD Day Fun—Bad Art

Pop-Up Storytimes

Are you a daycare provider? Run a home daycare or homeschool your children? We offer Pop-Up Storytimes. Give us an hour's notice and we can provide a storytime for you and your group in the library. Maybe you would rather have us come to you? That too can be arranged! Please contact the Ridgetown Branch at 519.674.3121 and let us work together to keep our children reading!

Home Service

Library Home Service is offered to Chatham-Kent residents who are confined to a private residence or institution for three months or longer as a result of ill health, physical, visual or age related disability.  
A library volunteer would be happy to deliver books to your home monthly.

Service to Village on the Ridge Retirement Residence

Once a month, a volunteer delivers large print books to Village on the Ridge retirement residence. The date of delivery is the first Friday of the month. If you are interested in receiving a book delivery, please call the Ridgetown Branch for more information.
