PD Day Fun - Day of the Child

Please join us as learn more about the Day of the Child. We will be reading stories, playing games and making some awesome crafts, please come! National Child Day has been celebrated across Canada since 1993 to commemorate the United Nations' adoption of two documents centered on children's rights: the United Nations Declaration of the Rights of the Child on November 20, 1959, and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child on November 20, 1989. By ratifying the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child in 1991, Canada made a commitment to ensure that all children are treated with dignity and respect. Fred Penner at the Mary Webb Centre

Do you recognize this song title, "The Cat Came Back"? Staff at the Ridgetown, Highgate and Bothwell branches are super pleased to offer a draw for tickets to see Fred Penner in concert at the Mary Webb Centre in Highgate on Saturday, February 16. When patrons borrow any two items from December 1 to January 31, they will receive a ballot to be entered into a draw for four tickets, one set of four from each of our Hub branches to this concert. Tickets have been made available to us through the generosity of the Mary Webb Centre Board and The Friends of the Ridgetown Library.

Pop-Up Storytimes

Are you a daycare provider? Run a home daycare or homeschool your children? We offer Pop-Up Storytimes. Give us an hour's notice and we can provide a storytime for you and your group in the library. Maybe you would rather have us come to you? That too can be arranged! Home Service

Library Home Service is offered to Chatham-Kent residents who are confined to a private residence or institution for three months or longer as a result of ill health, physical, visual or age related disability.  
A library volunteer would be happy to deliver books to your home monthly.

Service to Village on the Ridge Retirement Residence

Once a month, a volunteer delivers large print books to Village on the Ridge retirement residence. The date of delivery is the first Friday of the month. If you are interested in receiving a book delivery, please call the Ridgetown Branch for more information.
