Choosing and Managing A Sustainable Lifestyle ( CKReads programming)

Date:  Thursday, April 18
Time:  6:30 pm

Please join us as we welcome Brian and Tabitha Hastings as they chronicle their journey to the creation of Urban Sunset Farms.  In 2015 Brian started a vegetable garden for their family. They wanted to know where and how their food was grown, plus they wanted their two little girls to learn from this experience.  That year, there were many vegetables grown that they couldn't keep up; they gave some produce to friends and family.  They wondered if this was a viable business opportunity to make use of their unused property. In 2016 they expanded from 1/10th of an acre to almost 1/2 an acre garden. They set out a plan for 5 bi-weekly CSA (community supported agriculture) boxes and that side of the business has grown since then.  There is no registration required and everyone is most welcome.  For more information please contact the Ridgetown Branch at 519.674.3121.
