Family Storytime

Please join Miss Susan for Family Storytimes at the Ridgetown Branch every Thursday morning until June 6. The first program will be a Peppa Pig & Pals Themed Storytime and will be followed by Unicorns, Paw Patrol, Fairytales, Curious George and Alice in Wonderland. Everyone is welcome. Registration is not required, but advance notice would be greatly appreciated.  

Community Wellness Day

Time: 11:00 am to 1:00 pm

Please join us for a Community Wellness Day. We will have the St. John's Ambulance Therapy Dogs here from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm and we will also have a yoga session with Tabitha Hastings of Sunset Yoga from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. There will be displays and information booths from local organizations and an arts and crafts table will be available for those that are feeling creative. Please come on by to boost your sense of wellness and community this spring! Everyone is welcome. Registration is required for the yoga session and can be made online at search.ckpl.ca. (keyword "Ridgetown") or by contacting the Ridgetown Branch at 519.674.3121.

Let's Explore TD Summer Reading Club in the Natural World

Please join us as we prepare for TD Summer Reading Club fun adventures! Drop by and make a Nature Journal to record your finds in the exciting outside world! Grab a walking stick to decorate and help you find your way in the great outdoors! Then pick up a Nature Scavenger Hunt Kit to help get you started on your journey! Everyone is welcome and no registration is required. For more information please contact the Ridgetown Branch at 519.674.3121.

Family History Workshop

Please join us for a Family History Workshop using library resources, such as Ancestry.ca, Family Tree magazine, microfilm and microfiche files and other online resources. Find your long lost relatives! Heather Campbell will join us to talk about the beginnings of her photograph organizing journey, the tools and supplies that one needs in order to organize prints and memorabilia, and the ABC's of print organizing. Celebrate reading with our TD Summer Reading Club kick off and author visit. A local children's author will be in the Ridgetown Branch with her books and to talk about the writing process. Everyone is welcome. Registration is not required.

Please join us for a rollicking good time with Team T&J to help us kick off our TD Summer Reading Club for 2019. Team T&J take interactive music and entertainment to incredible heights with a high-energy, super-powered concert for kids and families. This live experience is an uplifting journey of self-exploration, creativity and participation that encourages kids to see and feel what it means to come together and STICK2GETHER!" This is a FREE show and will take place at the Ridgetown Rotary Youth and Community Centre on Ebenezer Street in Ridgetown. Everyone is welcome!

Pop-Up Storytimes

Are you a daycare provider? Run a home daycare or homeschool your children? We offer Pop-Up Storytimes. Give us an hour's notice and we can provide a storytime for you and your group in the library. Maybe you would rather have us come to you? That too can be arranged! Please contact the Ridgetown Branch at 519.674.3121 and let us work together to keep our children reading!

Home Service

Library Home Service is offered to Chatham-Kent residents who are confined to a private residence or institution for three months or longer as a result of ill health, physical, visual or age related disability.  
A library volunteer would be happy to deliver books to your home monthly.

Service to Village on the Ridge Retirement Residence

Once a month, a volunteer delivers large print books to Village on the Ridge retirement residence. The date of delivery is the first Friday of the month. If you are interested in receiving a book delivery, please call the Ridgetown Branch for more information.

The Friends of the Ridgetown Library

Date: Second Tuesday of every month (no meeting in January or February)
