How do I log on to a computer?
To log-in to a computer or CKPL wifi, your CKPL library card number (no spaces) is your user ID and your PIN is set to the last 4 digits of your phone number. If you get an error message, please see a CKPL staff member. We may need to update your card or reset your PIN. Fines must be below $10 to access a computer.
Do I need a library card to use a computer?
Residents of Chatham-Kent must have a library card to use CKPL's public access computers. Cards must be current and users must have less than $10 in fines to access a computer. Staff can assist you with updating your card or paying off fines at any CKPL branch.
Visitors from outside of Chatham-Kent can speak to staff about obtaining a guest pass to access the computers.
What if I need more than 60 minutes on the computer?
Your CKPL library card give you 60 minutes of computer use each day. If you need more time, staff can give you an extension as long as other patrons are not waiting for a computer. Please ask us about an extension before your time runs out.
Can I print at the library?
Yes. Black and white printing is available at all CKPL branches for $0.25 per page. Colour printing is available at Chatham and Wallaceburg branches for $0.75 per page.
