March Break Programs at CKPL Wheatley Branch

“Under the sea, under the sea, darling it’s better down where it’s wetter, take it from me” – Sebastian, “The Little Mermaid.” Chatham-Kent Public Library is going under the sea for March Break!

Programs at Chatham-Kent Public Library are free to attend. Programs at Wheatley  Branch include:

A Jurassic Journey Dinosaur Lecture Tour
Tuesday, March 10 at 6:00 pm
Ryder Hall, 49 Bond Avenue, Tilbury
The National Touring Museum of Canada (NTM) will be presenting A Jurassic Journey, with dinosaur expert Tim Jeffries. This is a lecture tour in which families will be informed, involved and inspired.

With a large collection of dinosaur bones and other historical artifacts, NTM helps to create an interactive museum in schools, community halls and other venues. Located in Ontario but serving all of Canada, it provides a safe, fun and educational environment to all who experience it. A unique touch table allows access to handling ancient artifacts that would normally be mounted behind glass or ropes, giving a way to physically connect to history.  Ages 7 +.

Jellyfish Jumble
Wednesday, March 18, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
Jellyfish are a wonderful thing. Stop in to do a craft, pick up a book, and learn a new jellyfish song.  All ages, drop-in.

Under the Sea Bingo
Thursday, March 19, 4:00 to 8:00 pm
Drop in to play some Under the Sea bingo. All ages.
