March Break Programs at CKPL Ridgetown Branch

“Under the sea, under the sea, darling it’s better down where it’s wetter, take it from me” – Sebastian, “The Little Mermaid.” Chatham-Kent Public Library is going under the sea for March Break!

Ridgetown Branch is set to re-open with a splash! The grand re-opening is scheduled for Tuesday, March 10 and we’d like you to celebrate with us! Drop in and check out our renovation makeover!

Visit us during March Break the following week, March 16 to 21, for fun and engaging children’s programs that are free to attend. Programs at Ridgetown Branch include:

Ocean Adventures Stay & Play
Drop in during open hours
Join us all week for crafts and activities celebrating the sea. Find out what floats and sinks with our ocean sensory playpack. Craft a clothespin shark that really chomps or a scary shark fin hat! Make your own egg carton sea creatures or play pin the tail on the mermaid and mermaid tic tac toe. Under sea adventures await every day at the library!

“Splash and Bubbles” Movie Time
Tuesday, March 17 and Thursday, March 19
2:00 pm
Join us for exciting episodes of “Splash and Bubbles”! This series of half hour animated films from Kanopy Kids follow the adventures of Splash, a yellow fusilier fish who has migrated all over the oceans before settling down with his family in Reeftown, where he befriends three inquisitive fellow sea creatures, Bubbles, Dunk and Ripple. Together, Splash and his friends explore the world's oceans, where they meet wildly diverse marine animals and discover otherworldly undersea habitats.
