This order does not apply to gatherings of members of a single household.
Organized public events include parades, weddings, all kinds of social gatherings and services of worship. An exception has been made for funerals which are allowed to take place with up to 10 people in attendance.
In light of this new directive, Chatham-Kent’s Medical Officer of Health, Dr. David Colby is extending the local list of bans and closures to include both BMX and skate parks, effective immediately.
“These increased measures are taking place to ensure physical distancing across our community, said Colby. Simply put, you should not be within 2 metres of someone who does not live within your household.”
