Income & Employment Support has a number of programs and services to help you find a job. There are also many other job resources available to you within our community.

Employment Resource Centres

The Employment Resource Centres are one place where you can start to make the most of your job search. These centres are operated by Income & Employment Support and open to the public for free drop in services.

Computer screen with the word "Jobs"Employment Resource Advisors can help you find job leads, information on finding work, or education and training options. If you are receiving Ontario Works Assistance, you may attend these centres periodically to meet with your worker by appointment for further employment counselling.

The Employment Resource Centre offers:

  • Job search resources, leads and information on area employers
  • Free use of computers with high-speed internet, printers, copiers, scanners and fax machines
  • Help with resumes, cover letters, online applications and interview strategies
  • Assistance in finding employment, networking and education programs
  • Resources for career exploration and training opportunities
  • Guidance sourcing labour market information
  • Business start-up information and employer/employee legislation information
