Local Business Grows and Provides More Care for People Across Chatham-Kent

Local business owners, Tina Hodgson and Dakota Hodgson, are proud to announce the grand reopening of Neighbourly Care Home Health Services as of February 18, 2021. No longer part of a franchise model, this now 100 percent locally owned business is serving the needs of the community by continuing to offer premium home health care service across Southwestern Ontario.

Services include nursing and personal support health care needs in the comfort of your own home. Neighbourly Care's 'here when you need us' model is dedicated to helping families and their loved ones with a variety of services including recovery from injuries, transitioning home from hospital, personal care, respite care, meal preparation, transportation, caregiver and family relief, and around the clock nursing care.

"As far as our customers will see, the change is really just in name only. We still provide the highest quality homecare and believe that it's essential to treat each person as an individual, by listening to their needs and interests," said Dakota Hodgson, Director. "All of our caregivers are dedicated to bringing joy into our clients' life."

"We are deeply committed to our investment in local expertise and service excellence. Our new name, Neighbourly Care Home Health Services, identity, and vision reflect our dedication to meeting our clients' home health care needs in and around our community and southwestern Ontario." said owner Tina Hodgson.

For Tina and Dakota, relationships are key. They collaborate with all stakeholders and are available 24/7 to help ensure peace of mind and positive outcomes for clients, their family members, and health care team members.

"We invest in great relationships and bring a "Neighbourly Attitude" combined with a professional, fun and friendly approach to each and every home care visit and free consultation," said Dakota Hodgson.

This dynamic mother and daughter team are born and raised in Chatham. They have assembled an extremely experienced, knowledgeable and professional staff of local caring Personal Service Workers and Nurses with over 130 years of healthcare experience to ensure all clients' personal and nursing needs are met with dignity, respect and professionalism.

"Tina and Dakota have been doing some amazing things by bringing much needed home health care options to the community," Chatham-Kent Mayor, Darrin Canniff. "I am thrilled for them in their next step as a locally owned and operated Neighbourly Care Home Health Services and I am confident they will continue to provide exceptional care at home for individuals throughout Chatham-Kent."

"We are excited to see how Tina and Dakota are growing their business and taking on new challenges. We started working with them during their initial planning stages two years ago and have been there every step of the way when they have questions, need some help, or even just want to have a friendly ear to listen," said Jamie Rainbird, Manager of Chatham-Kent Economic Development and the Small Business Centre. "It's a real success story thanks to the growing number of people they are employing in our area and also because they are helping to provide an important service."
