Floating Therapy’s Open House Event is Welcoming Chatham-Kent to Visit

Floating Therapy is inviting the community of Chatham-Kent and surrounding region to attend an Open House, Wednesday, October 24, 2019 from 4 pm to 8 pm at their new location at 43 Victoria Ave, Chatham. The event will include an opportunity to meet the team, view the new facility, and learn about the wide variety of health-focused services available.

The event marks a milestone for Floating Therapy, celebrating 3 years in the community. Following a flood at their previous location, it was a great opportunity to expand and Floating Therapy is back and ready to help improve the health of residents.

”We are thrilled to be back open and providing care for our clients,” said Laura Foster, Owner of Floating Therapy. “I started this business after a brain injury, floating was integral to my own recovery. With a previous career at CKHA in patient charting, I understand the health issues in Chatham-Kent and it’s my passion to help people live better by providing a combination of physical, mental, and emotional health support. We now have an amazing team of people all under one roof who can ensure that Floating Therapy is achieving our mission.”

Floating Therapy provides a therapeutic and relaxing environment away from the daily stresses and over-stimulation in today's society. In addition, you can also find infrared sauna, Halotherapy salt, massage, Osteopathy, and Psychotherapy.

“Research is showing a 33% reduction in anxiety and depression symptoms with 65% reduction in pain in just one float. We have people of all ages, backgrounds, and professions come to us for help,” said Foster. “Many of our clients come in just to enjoy some down time, build a self-care routine, and focus on improving sleep and stress. We are working with local practitioners for concussion and injury recovery, and increasing awareness of the importance of magnesium.”

Foster added, “We offer a first time float special but we never want finances to impede someone from seeking care so we have a Karma Program which allows you to pay what you can to help make it accessible.”

“It has been exciting to work with Laura and see how she has grown Floating Therapy over the past couple of years,” said Rosemarie Montgomery, Economic Development Officer with Chatham-Kent Economic Development. “She has done a great job of keeping a focus on her core business while also adding new services that compliment the care that she provides.”

As part of the Open House event, attendees are invited to bring a non-perishable food item and be entered into a draw for a gift basket.
