Nautical adventures await boaters along the many shores of Chatham-Kent. The vast seascape that surrounds this region gives boaters a choice of narrow rivers, sheltered bays, or the openness of Great Lakes to explore. Waterfront communities here service boaters, kayakers, and canoeists with resort-style marinas, fine restaurants, and accommodations.
Further north, Mitchell’s Bay has a full-service marina with several launch ramps, a bait and accessories store, and camp sites.
Along Lake Erie in the Village of Erieau, the newly modernized marina features an in-ground salt water pool, exercise room, and Internet access. Boaters are close to the beach, restaurants, and a boat repair facility with accessories and supplies.
Boaters can also berth at the docks of the urban centres of Chatham along the Thames River, or in Wallaceburg along the Sydenham. In both communities, boaters are within a short walk to commercial districts.
