In the thick of Carolinian forest or along scenic Great Lakes shoreline, camping in Chatham-Kent is exceptional. Campers can choose the natural settings of two provincial parks or one of many recreation-packed family resorts for their summer camping experience.

Provincial Parks

Miles of sandy beach and boat launches for fishing are common at many campgrounds in Chatham-Kent. Both Rondeau Provincial Park and Wheatley Provincial Park are situated along Lake Erie offering campers beachfront access and other water activities minutes from their site.

 Rondeau has 261 campsites and offers several recreational activities including lake and bay swimming, nature trails for hiking, biking and rollerblading and themed programs during peak tourist season. Tent, trailer and group camping are available at both parks.

Wheatley offers wooded camp settings with most of its 220 sites shaded for good privacy. Recreational opportunities include beach access, playgrounds and hiking trails

Conservation Area, Private Campgrounds, Municipal Park

C.M. Wilson Conservation Area has a forest, man-made lake and small woodlot with 100 campsites. Amenities include canoe rental, beach access and nature trails.

Private campgrounds include Campers Cove, a family camping resort and the marina/campground Mitchell’s Bay Marine Park.

Campers Cove is a large shaded campground with sports, movies, special events, teen programs, trails and more.

The Mitchell’s Bay Marine Park features 108 campsites with boat launch ramps and close proximity to beaches and playgrounds.

Clearville Park, Let the cool breeze off Lake Erie soothe your mind and senses. You'll be enthralled by the beautiful sunrises over the lake. Seasonal or transient camping is available. Offering Spacious sites, serviced, Accessible from major highways, Trailer dumping station, Picnic tables & shelter, Washrooms & showers, Beach & swimming, Laundry facilities, Drinking water, Nature trails, Boat access, Playground, Fishing. Cabins

Beachcombers can relax in cabins near the shore in Chatham-Kent’s quaint waterfront communities, while campers can choose to stay in the heart of rare Carolinian forest at provincial parks or family camping resorts.
