A museum is located upstairs at the former site of Thamesville's Town Hall, at the corner of London/Longwoods Road and Victoria Road (formerly Highway #2 and #21) at the stop light in Thamesville.
Regular Hours are Saturdays 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Summer Hours are Tuesdays from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m., Thursdays from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m., Fridays from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. and Saturday 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Other times are available, by appointment, by contacting the Curator.
This lovely, old former schoolroom, library and Council Chambers are home to artifacts and memorabilia collected from Thamesville and the surrounding area. Items on display include: Robertson Davies memorabilia, a Sherman Fysh model of 1942 Thamesville, World War I and II uniforms and artifacts, a small model school-room, old curling stones, Indian baskets, signature quilts from 1924 and 1928, mastodon artifacts including photos and information about the Highgate Mastodon, and, a collection of old local photographs and postcards.
The Thamesville & District Historical Society has acquired resource materials for those doing local historical and genealogical research.
