Lord Selkirk Bridge over Sydenham River
Rehabilitation of Lord Selkirk Bridge over Sydenham River

The Municipality of Chatham-Kent held Public Information Centre #1 on Wednesday, June 9, 2010. This meeting was to make the public aware of the planned rehabilitation of the Lord Selkirk Bridge over Sydenham River.  Staff of the Engineering and Transportation Division along with staff from Byrne Engineering were on hand to answer any questions.

At the June 28, 2010 session of Chatham-Kent Council, Engineering and Transportation Division was instructed to return to the Community of Wallaceburg for an additional Public Information Centre regarding the Lord Selkirk Bridge.

Public Information Centre #2 was held on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at 6:30 pm at the Wallaceburg Municipal Office. Please see the attached meeting notice, presentation and comment sheets.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

Due to
this planned bridge rehabilitation, the Lord Selkirk Bridge will be completely closed to vehicular traffic from August 16, 2010 through December. Pedestrian access will be available across the bridge. Marine traffic requiring the bascule span of the bridge will be restricted after August 16, 2010. Please see the attached Navigation Notice.
