Mayor Randy Hope

Welcome to Chatham-Kent. We are a friendly, diverse and dynamic Municipality with a progressive attitude.

Located on major trade routes in the heart of North America, Chatham-Kent has been rated one of the Top Ten North American Small Cities of the Future according to Foreign Direct Investment Magazine.  We have large employers in manufacturing, agriculture and environmental technology, as well as a full array of other businesses.

With a green fertile landscape and lively communities, our residents enjoy the best of urban and rural life. We have affordable family housing, no rush hour traffic, modern health and social services, and first-class education.

In Chatham-Kent we reach out to visitors, entrepreneurs, investors and immigrants alike, and welcome new ideas, activities, skills and diversity. We promote healthy lifestyles, culture and heritage, sports and recreation, and the conservation of our environment.

If you are already a resident, or if you are thinking of visiting, investing or living in Chatham-Kent, you should know that Chatham-Kent Council has been proactive in working with citizens to set strategic directions and accompanying goals for the 2007-2010 term. These directions are leading our Municipality to the next level as a vital competitor in the world economy that also retains all the positive aspects of a green and family-oriented community.

Come to visit or come to stay.  Welcome home - to Chatham-Kent!

Sincerely,

Randy Hope, Mayor/CEO
