Welcome to Chatham-Kent. Our community’s vision is to be the fastest growing sustainable community in southwestern Ontario.
We already offer the best of urban and rural life with a green fertile landscape and lively local communities. Chatham-Kent features affordable family housing, modern health and social services, and first-class education.
Through strategic planning and by engaging citizens, we are stimulating sustainable growth in health, the economy, environment, culture, and learning.
We work with business and industry to build a
whole new economy, and emphasize growth in environmental technologies, knowledge-based industries and agri-business. |

We rejuvenate our workforce and diversify our society by recruiting recent immigrants, newcomers, young professionals and active retirees And to nourish this growing community, our Municipality provides quality services, effective structure and fiscal responsibility.
We also work in partnership with citizens and community organizations to vigorously pursue our community’s goals. We invest in recreational, cultural and heritage assets to improve our residents’ quality of life and attract visitors.
