The Chatham-Kent Public Utilities Commission provides municipal water and sewer services to approximately 85,000 residents, businesses and industries in a rural/urban area of approximately 2500 kilometres. The Public Utilities Commission meets monthly, usually on the 3rd Thursday of each month. There are public meetings to deal with waterline and sanitary sewer extensions, as well as other related issues.
