Cemetery Locations & Genealogy

The Cemeteries section is responsible for seven (7) major active cemeteries within the Municipality of Chatham-Kent. We are also responsible for 54 Pioneer and abandoned Cemeteries within the same geographic area .  Our seven major active Cemeteries are:

  • Maple Leaf & St. Anthony's Cemetery and Mausolea, Chatham, Ontario.
  • Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg, Ontario.
  • Dresden Cemetery, Dresden, Ontario.
  • Bothwell Cemetery, Bothwell, Ontario.
  • Sherman Cemetery, Thamesville, Ontario.
  • Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim, Ontario.
  • Greenwood Cemetery, Ridgetown, Ontario.

Many people today have a great interest in Genealogy. Cemeteries are a major source of information for tracing our pasts. The following links are also great sources of information in researching your ancestors in the Province of Ontario, as well as the rest of Canada and globally. At present we are working on a solution for families to view our Cemetery records online. It is our hope this will happen in the near future. We do accept E-mail requests and request your patience as these take time to process and research. We encourage you to follow these other useful links for the time present.
