NEW! Check out the video tutorial on wireless printing at CKPL!

Chatham-Kent Public Library provides printing and photocopying services in its 11 library branches.
  • Black & white prints -- 25 cents per page
  • Colour prints -- 75 cents per page (available in Chatham, Wallaceburg and Tilbury)
  • Black & white photocopies -- 25 cents per page
  • Microfilm/microfiche copies -- 25 cents per page (not available at all locations)

Each print job expires 2 hours after it is submitted.

Wireless Printing
is available at all CKPL branches.
You can easily connect to the wireless printing system from your portable computer! Note: Not available for Mac and Linux. After sending your print request to a printer, use the Self Print Station to pay for and pick up your print job.
To use the library’s print system, a small application called LPT:One Print Client must be downloaded and installed on your computer. This LPT:One Print Client must be running in the background to print to our printers.

Note: For Windows 7, you may need to do following steps:
1. Turn off firewall if you have it
2. Enable printer and file sharing
3. Enable guest account
4. UAC set to "Never Notify"
5. Log on your computer as an admin who is able to install software

1. To download the print client for your branch, click the following links. Read the instructions below before doing this for the first time.

Blenheim Bothwell Chatham
Dresden Highgate Merlin
Ridgetown Thamesville Tilbury
Wallaceburg Wheatley

This link will work only if you are already connected to the Chatham-Kent Public Library wireless network "library_hotspot".

Depending on your browser, you will get the option to run and/or save the file.

If you are a regular visitor to the library, you may wish to save the program to your computer and re-launch it on future visits.

Follow the steps below for whichever you choose:
Run:
  • If you get any security warnings, click on "run".
Save:
  • If you get any security warnings, go ahead and save the file. Keep track of where you save it.
  • Go to where you saved the file and run "clientlauncher.exe".
2. The program will open a minimized box for the LPT:One Print Client.

While this window is open and running you will be able to print from any application. It will temporarily make our printer your "default".

When you need to print, select the option to print. Select either “Black & White Printer” or “Colour Printer”, page range, and number of copies, and click Print or OK.

The printer will prompt you to enter a User ID. Enter your name or library card number and click "OK". You will use this to identify your print jobs at the print release station.

Click OK to submit the print job.

Click OK to see where you can pick up your print outs.

Go to any of our print stations to pay and print out your print job. In most branch locations, the print station is at the circulation desk and library staff will be pleased to assist you.

Closing the LPT:One Print Client
Open the LPT:One Print Client by clicking on the button in the taskbar.
Click Stop Print Client. The LPT:One Print Client closes, and restores your previous default printer.
When you shutdown or log off your computer, the LPT:One Print Client will automatically close.
