Community Access Progam (CAP)
About the CAP Program
The Community Access Program (
CAP
) is a key part of the Government of Canada’s Connecting Canadians initiative, administered by
Industry Canada
, to make Canada the most connected nation in the world.
CAP
provides public access to help individuals and communities learn about the Internet, develop information technology skills, exchange ideas with others, research information and connect to government programs and services.
CAP @ CKPL
CAP serves all residents of Chatham-Kent through the municipality’s 11 branch library system. With the help of CAP youth workers, CKPL provides one-on-one training sessions and group workshops on the effective use of the Internet and related information technologies.
Contact your local branch to sign up for a free one-on-one computer training session starting October 31.
Give yourself some ideas for the holiday season! Group workshops running November 14 through 19 will show you how to create photo books and use online greeting card programs. Join us in December for a workshops on how to navigate e-book readers and tablet devices.
Free computer access and online tutorials are available for independent use year-round. For online tutorials, visit:
