Cochrane Library Cochrane Library

The Cochrane Library is recognized as the premier source of reliable health information.  While the reviews themselves are quite technical, plain language summaries (e.g., cranberry juice for preventing urinary tract infections) and podcasts (e.g., green tea for preventing cancer) make them useful to a broad audience.  Expert patients, such as those living with chronic diseases, find the reviews themselves useful in understanding their disease and making treatment choices. 
Until the end of December, all Canadians have FREE access to the Cochrane Library.

April 2009 - Ontario Time Machine


The Ontario Time Machine (OTM) is dedicated to the learning and discovery of Ontario's early documentary heritage. A partnership among the Toronto Public Library, the Hamilton Public Library and the Kingston Frontenac Public Library, the OTM presents a collection that represents a variety of publications, subjects, viewpoints and perspectives.
