THE W.C. McGEORGE BUILDING
Located at 325 Grand Avenue East, Chatham Ontario, this is a storage facility for both archival and active records from the former County of Kent and its twenty-one member municipalities including the former City of Chatham.
Documents of public interest such as Council Minutes, By-laws, Assessment Rolls, Tax Collectors Rolls, Budgets, etc. are housed in this building as well as Corporate records. Historical maps, books and memorabilia are also offered for sale at the McGeorge building. (GST & Shipping/Handling is applicable).
Archival Records from former municipal entities are inventoried and are available through the Ontario Archival Information Network, ARCHEION and the Canadian Archival Information Network (CAIN).
Public records are available for viewing, by appointment, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
