BACKGROUND
In June 2006, the Chatham-Kent Community Strategic Planning Committee requested some comparative information from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food & Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) for the purposes of strategic planning. In response to our request, OMAFRA compiled a Chatham-Kent Regional Comparisons and Competitive Analysis (as seen above).
The Community Strategic Planning Committee aims to improve the community’s understanding of some of the major challenges facing Chatham-Kent. An additional role of the committee is to highlight the role of strategic thinking in moving CK towards a brighter future – in the context of the community’s strategic plan.
