C-K featured on Canadian VIA Rail Garden Route
Garden lovers, admirers and enthusiasts, whether they be from across Canada or around the world, have even more incentive to travel the VIA Rail Garden Route this summer, as the program, now in its fourth year, is growing by leaps and bounds. Anchoring the VIA Rail Garden Route, which stretches from Vancouver Island to Halifax, are 19 magnificent Feature Gardens, numerous Garden Attractions and 27, 5 Bloom Communities in Bloom destinations, Chatham-Kent being one of them.
"We are delighted to be a part of the only national program that links many of Canada's outstanding Communities in Bloom destinations," said Monica Moore, Communities in Bloom Co-ordinator. "Maintaining a top 5-Bloom rating since 2005 and winning the 2010 National Title in the Communities in Bloom program speaks to the wonderful civic pride our citizens have in Chatham-Kent. Being one of the stops on the VIA Rail Garden Route presents us with a terrific opportunity to proudly showcase our beautiful communities."
