Public Education is an extremely important method to improve awareness and to teach life saving and injury prevention skills to a diverse community in which we live.
The Chatham-Kent Fire Department is involved in life & fire safety and injury prevention in schools, community groups, local businesses, long term care facilities, senior's residences and the Chatham-Kent Children's Safety Village.
Public Fire and Life Safety Programs include, but are not limited to, Learn Not To Burn, Older and Wiser, The Arson Prevention Program – Children, Risk Watch, Smoke Alarm Programs, Emergency Evacuations and Portable Fire Extinguisher Training.
