Prevention and Public Education

Assistant Chief Ray Stone accepted the position of Assistant Chief of Prevention and Public Education for the Municipality of Chatham-Kent on January 2, 2007. His past work experiences include; Firefighter, Acted as Captain, Fire Inspector, and Fire Prevention Officer. He received his Fire Prevention Officer’s Diploma in March 2006 from the Ontario Fire College.
Chief Stone is responsible for overseeing all areas in Prevention and Public Education including fire code requirements, fire investigations, prevention policies and programs and all initiatives which educate the public in life and fire safety.
Chief Stone currently holds memberships with Canadian Association for Fire Investigators (CAFI), the Fire Marshal's Public Fire Safety Council Membership/ Opportunities/ Resources Committee (MORE) and the Ontario Municipal Fire Prevention Officers Association (OMFPOA). |
