Chatham-Kent Pandemic Influenza Plan 2009

The Chatham-Kent Board of Health approved the Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit’s Pandemic Plan on February 18, 2009. This plan defines the roles and responsibilities of the Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit in a Pandemic Emergency.

This local plan will be updated annually and is based on the Ontario Health Plan for an Influenza Pandemic, which is updated annually, and on the Canadian Pandemic Influenza Plan, which is updated every two years.

Businesses, agencies and organizations can include Chatham-Kent Pandemic Influenza Plan in their respective organizational pandemic plans.

On-going community wide pandemic planning is continuing through the activities of the Chatham-Kent Contingency Planning and Advisory Committee.

For additional information please contact the Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit at 519-352-7270.
