Wallaceburg's Manufacturing Future Brightens

A retrofitted facility in Wallaceburg will become a new global supply centre for patented, made-in-Ontario piping and pressure vessel testing tools. Through the Rural Economic Development Program, Ontario is helping Advanced Emissions Technologies, Ltd. to:

  • develop an unused building into a new, modern, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility
  • create opportunities for 50-75 new highly skilled manufacturing jobs, with potential for 50-150 more jobs in the long term
  • enhance skills training opportunities within an expanding manufacturing sector
  • increase production of testing tools by 400 per cent and introduce 14 new patented products to the market over next five years
  • stimulate new business for the sector through tool manufacturing spin-off companies
  • increase sales and exports of high-quality, in-demand testing equipment

QUICK FACTS

Advanced Emissions Technologies, Ltd. and the Corporation of the Municipality of Chatham-Kent are receiving up to $1,000,000 through the Rural Economic Development Program.

Applications for Advanced Emissions Technologies can be submitted, in person, at the Municipal Centre in Wallaceburg and the Economic Development Services office in Chatham for the time being. A detailed job description and advertisement will be posted within the next few weeks with more detailed instructions for applying.
