Employee productivity prompts company to bring more work to CK

Transcom has benefited from a talented pool of employees

Transcom Worldwide will create more jobs for the local workforce upon the company’s recent decision to shift significant call volume from other sites to its Richmond Street facility in Chatham.

The move speaks to the level of productivity and quality the company is experiencing with its employees in Chatham-Kent, says Geoff Wright of Economic Development Services.

“Transcom Worldwide’s growth highlights what new employers quickly learn when they establish in Chatham-Kent – that we have an excellent pool of talented, dedicated people ready to work,” says the Service/Commercial Coordinator for Chatham-Kent.

The relationship between Chatham-Kent’s workforce and Transcom Worldwide has been blissful since the global company opened in 2004 as NuComm International. Its continued success in Chatham-Kent bodes well for more companies within the growing contact centre industry.

Potential investors in the industry also have access to a pool of talent.
Transcom provides technical support, customer care and billing, data management, and customer selfservice programs to well-known companies in the cable, financial  services, telecom, media, and entertainment industries.
