A Region Groundwater Study has been completed for Chatham-Kent and Essex Region, it developed a comprehensive understanding of local groundwater resources and suggest effective management strategies for this vital resource.

Chatham-Kent will be able to integrate findings from this study into the Official Plan project and ensure that appropriate land use policies support future management of groundwater in the municipality.

Work on the Groundwater Study started in 2002 and the final report was completed in December 2004. The Final Report is available by clicking on the attachments below or to otain a cd copy contact the Planning Services Department (519) 436-3239.
