The Thames Art Gallery accepts exhibition and curatorial submissions from artists and curators. The two exhibition venues include the Ground Floor Gallery and the Mezzanine Gallery. The Gallery supports artist through the payment of artist and copyright fees, according to the guidelines established by CARO/CARFAC. The Thames Art Gallery also provides installation assistance, documentation, and insurance. The exhibitions are promoted through the design, printing and mailing of invitations, press releases, art publication advertisements, exhibition publications, gallery tours, the Thames Art Gallery resource library, as well as educational outreach.
Submissions should include:
A current résumé or curriculum vitae.
Ten to twenty slides or digital images of current work or work intended for exhibition. Slides must be numbered and labeled with the artist's name. Digital images must be in jpeg format.
A numbered slide list indicating the year, size, and medium of each art work. Digital images must have title of work as file name.
A statement about the work and an exhibition proposal.
Additional support material such as reviews and catalogues, if available.
A self-addressed stamped envelope if you wish the submission returned by mail (Canadian postage or postal money order) otherwise it may be picked up in person during regular gallery office hours (weekdays 9 am - 5 pm).
