Caring for children is more than just child's play.

For many youth, babysitting is their first job, and the Red Cross Babysitting course can help them become professional and confident.

They'll learn valuable tips for having a safe babysitting experience, plus:

  • How to interview for the job
  • Important child care skills
  • Choosing age-appropriate toys and games
  • Perform first aid
  • Handle bedtime issues
  • The rights and responsibilities of the babysitter and the family hiring them

How To Register

There are three ways to register for recreation programs:

  1. Use RecConnect to register online.
  2. Call 519.360.1998, or your local municipal centre to register by telephone.
  3. Visit your local municipal centre to register in person.

For Aquatics programs, the Gable Rees Rotary Pool in Blenheim is available evenings and weekends. Call 519.676.4544.
