Download ebooks, audiobooks, comics and magazines to your computers and mobile devices from anywhere you have Internet access. Watch movies and listen to music too!

Borrow ebooks and audiobooks for adults, teens and children from cloudLibrary and OverDrive. Titles automatically expire after the loan period (no late fees!) although you can return most titles early. You can also place holds on items that are already signed out by another library patron.

You can borrow ebooks and audiobooks as well as movies, TV shows, music and comics from hoopla digital with no waiting (simultaneous use) and no holds lists! There are no limits on the number of digital magazines you can check out using RB Digital and Flipster and no waiting!  

TumbleBooks offers animated picture books, ebooks, read-along chapter books, graphic novels and more in English, French and Spanish. These collections are targeted to youth from preschool to high school.

CKPL's Local History Digital Collection includes a mixture of local directories, almanacs, municipal documents and items created by local authors. The collection includes over 150 resources all focused on exploring Chatham-Kent’s rich history.

Find titles in the Chatham-Kent Public Library online catalogue or link directly to the library's Cloud Library website. You can download apps for your computer or mobile device from the Cloud Library website too.

OverDrive

OverDrive

Check out up to 10 ebooks, audiobooks and videos from OverDrive. You can choose a 7 or 14 day loan period for ebooks and audiobooks. Videos expire after 3, 5 or 7 days.

Find titles in the Chatham-Kent Public Library online catalogue or link directly to the OverDrive Ontario Library Service Download Centre website.

To download ebooks on your Windows computer and transfer to your ereader, you need Adobe Digital Editions software.

You will need OverDrive Media Console software to download to your mobile device - watch the step by step videos on the OverDrive website to learn how. Some devices may already have software preloaded by the manufacturer, like the Sony Touch WiFi. To see which devices are supported by OverDrive, see the supported audio and ebook devices lists.

Hoopla Digital

Download movies, music, TV shows, comics, ebooks and audiobooks from hoopla digital. You can borrow up to 10 items per month. Movies and TV shows expire after 3 days, music after 7 days, and ebooks, audiobooks and comics after 21 days.

You can stream movies in a web browser on your computer or laptop or use an app to download to your iOS or Android device.

RB Digital Magazines (previously Zinio)

RB Digital MagazinesLink directly to the library's RB Digital Magazines website to checkout a magazine to your account. No limits and no waiting.

You will need to download the RB Digital reader app and create an RB Digital account to check out and read magazines. Scroll to the bottom of the RB Digital Magazines website home page to find links for downloading the RB Digital app.

Flipster Digital Magazines

FlipsterCheck out Flipster to download digital copies of your favorite magazines! No limits and no waiting.

These magazines can be accessed and browsed through your computer, tablet or phone and downloaded onto the Flipster App for offline reading. You can get the free app for both iOS and Android devices.

MaBiblioNumérique - French ebooks from Archambault

Mabiblio - French ebook collectionParlez-vous français? Check out Archambault's French ebook collection. It has a wide variety of electronic titles from Quebec and includes French translations of English works. Browse, checkout titles, and place holds. Available 24/7, you can read ebooks from your smartphone, tablet, ereader or computer.

TumbleBooks

The TumbleBooks collection includes: TumbleBook Library and TumbleBook Cloud Junior. Both databases provide anywhere, anytime access to thousands of books available in English, French and Spanish.

    Tumblebook Library

    TumbleBook Library is a collection best for students in kindergarten to grade five. It includes animated talking picture books, language learning books, read-alongs, and nonfiction books, as well as dozens of educational games, puzzles, and comprehension quizzes.

    TumbleBookCloud Junior

    TumbleBookCloud Junior is a collection of ebooks and read-along chapter books, non-fiction books, graphic novels, educational videos, and audio books. It is designed for students in grades three to six.

Local History Digital Collection

eReaders

Kobo Vox ereaderYou can borrow a Kobo Arc ereader or iPad Mini tablet from the library. See our eReaders & Devices page to learn more about these devices.

To search for the Kobo ereader in our online catalogue, enter the word "ereader" in the search box and hit enter or click the search arrow. Click the "Request" button to place a hold.
