TD Summer Reading Club 2017

Teddy Bear's Picnic (Dresden Branch)
Date: Wednesday, June 14
Time: 11:00 am to 12:00 pm
Ages: Preschool

Teddy stories, Teddy games, Teddy songs, Teddy crafts, Teddy snacks. Yes, it's Teddy everything! Everyone will meet under the big tree in the park across the street from the library. Don't forget to bring your friends!

Used Book Sale
Date: Saturday, June 17 to Saturday, June 24
Time: All open hours

The used book sale will be set up in the basement of the Dresden Branch. You will be impressed at the condition of these used books, so bring your friends and spend some time browsing the tables. You are welcome to donate items in good condition to the Dresden Branch. Please call 519.683.4922 for more information.

Adult Colouring
Date: Wednesdays, January 4 to June 21
Time: 2:00 to 4:00 pm

Grab a coffee and a friend for a relaxing afternoon of colouring. We supply the materials, you supply the imagination.

BYOB (Bring Your Own Book) Book Club
Date: Second Tuesday of the month
Time: 2:30 to 3:30 for July and August, 3:00 to 4:00 pm from September on  


Each month will be a different theme for this book club for adults. There is no registration, so just read (or listen to) a book from the month's theme and then join us for lots of laughter.

June - Supernatural
July - Zombies and Vampires
August - Seniors in Literature
September - Fantasy
October - Cozy mystery
November - Book assigned by another book club member

We are gearing up for 2017's TD Summer Reading Club, 'Salut!', and we are very excited to celebrate Canada's 150th anniversary! We have lots of programs planned:

Loonie Tuesdays
Dates: Tuesdays, July 4 to August 8
Time: 3:30 to 4:30 pm
Ages: 7 to 13

One story. One chant. But lots of technology!

Maple Leaf Mayhem
Dates: Wednesdays, July 5 to August 9
Time: 1:00 to 2:00 pm
Ages: 5 to 12

Digging, building, creating. That's how Canada grew.

Twilight Tales
Dates: Thursdays, July 6 to August 10
Time: 6:30 to 7:00 pm
Ages: family

Family storytime that gets everyone up and moving! Bring a blanket because we will be outside.

Mini Moose Storytime
Dates: Fridays, July 7 to August 11
Time: 10:00 to 11:00 am
Ages: 0 to 5

Stories, songs and fun for the wee ones!

Stay & Play 'Eh
Dates: Saturdays, July 8 to August 12
Time: 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
Ages: all ages

Settlement Services
Date: the first Thursday of every month
Time: 1:30 to 4:30 pm

Welcome classes! Dresden Branch is excited to share everything we have. Come for a visit and do a scavenger hunt, brows the books, find out about our free databases or participate in a program developed just for you. Contact our staff and arrange a visit....or two! Call us at 519.683.4922.

Friends of the Dresden Library
