Blenheim Branch Open House
Date: Thursday, June 15
Time: 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm
In the Fall of 2016, the Blenheim Branch of Chatham-Kent Public Library underwent renovations. Help CKPL celebrate the beautiful Blenheim Branch at an Open House on Thursday, June 15 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Stop in, have some cake and see how things have changed. There will be fun for the whole family! Bring the kids and play “Who Took the Cookies?!”, a fun mystery game played by solving puzzles and completing activities around the library. Everyone who visits the branch during the Open House will receive a ballot for a CKPL gift basket!
What’s changed? Well the pink carpet, dated wall paneling, and pink walls were the first things to go! CKPL also used community feedback from the recently developed Strategic Plan to guide the renovations. The floor plan was reconfigured to create more space for patrons, including a new reading area with more comfortable seating. Additional outlets were installed for patrons bringing their own devices. CKPL also renovated the meeting room which is now available for rent during library hours. The staff also received a new work area, including a new circulation desk.
Drop by the Blenheim Branch on June 15 between 5:00 and 7:00 pm to have some fun, eat some cake and check out the changes – we’re not the library you remember!
