A message from Mayor Randy Hope

Welcome to Chatham-Kent!

Mayor Randy HopeThanks for stopping by.

I’d like to introduce you to my hometown, Chatham-Kent

I am proud to be a part of one of the most progressive, welcoming and ambitious communities I know of.

Our community motto is that in Chatham-Kent, we are “Cultivating Growth, Shore to Shore.”

For us, that means cultivating every aspect of our community. Quality of life here is a mindset in which we use the accomplishments of the past to inspire us to reach the heights of the future.

We’re proud of our rich cultural heritage and the strength that diversity provides for us.

For more than 150 years, our community has held out a beacon for waves of newcomers, be they those fleeing slavery and persecution or others simply seeking an opportunity to build a better life.

We are known nationally and internationally for our accomplishments in agriculture, manufacturing, energy and new technology.

Our strength has and always will be the land that sustains and feeds multitudes around the world but it is the strength, creativity and innovation of our residents that allows us to use those resources to make this a better community.

We’re proud of our local roots but we’re aware that today more than ever, we’re on a global stage. We’re up for the challenge.

We welcome those who would join us in growing and celebrating our community whether it be through economic opportunity, culture or recreation.

Welcome to Chatham-Kent where you can live the dream without breaking the bank.

Sincerely,

Randy Hope
