Social Assistance in Chatham-Kent

Ontario Works helps people in our community with money for shelter, food and other basic necessities. We can also help you find a job. Ontario Works can help you temporarily until you can support yourself and your family.
You can apply for:
- emergency financial help
- ongoing financial help
- help with rent and/or energy costs
To be eligible, you must:
- live in Chatham-Kent
- need money right away to help with food and housing costs
- be willing to take part in activities that will help you find a job
