Pitch-in Canada Week

Pitch-In Canada WeekRecreation Facilities and Waste & Recycling Services, in co-operation with the Canadian Union of Public Employees Local 12, invite volunteers to participate in the C-K Pitch-In Week to be held April 22-29, 2017.

Pitch-in Canada

Pitch-In Canada is a non-profit organization founded in 1967 by several volunteers concerned about the proliferation of packaging and its effects on the land and aquatic environments.

The organization involves millions of volunteers in various action programs from recycling and composting to cleaning up and beautifying streams, wilderness and urban areas.

Pitch-In Canada is a founding member of Clean World International, which promotes waste reduction, recycling and proper waste handling.

The focus of this beautification project is to clean up the parkland, greenbelts and downtown areas by picking up litter throughout the Municipality.

If you or your group would like to participate in the C-K Pitch-In Canada Week project, please call 519.360.1998 or complete the registration form found in the downloads to the right to be added to the list.

Registrations must be filed with the Municipality by March 15th, 2017.
