Chatham-Kent Council consists of the Mayor and 17 Councillors representing 6 Wards. The Council is the main governing and legislative body for the Municipality.
Regular Council Meetings are held twice per month with a Council Planning Meeting held once per month. All meetings are listed in the Council Meeting Calendar. Meetings are open to the public and take place on Monday evening in the Council Chambers located on the 2nd Floor, Chatham-Kent Civic Centre, 315 King Street West, Chatham. The meetings begin at 6:00 pm.
The Municipality of Chatham-Kent has established Committees of Council and Local Boards who provide advice to Council on specifically mandated areas of interest. These committees contribute to the development of policies, programs and initiatives throughout Chatham-Kent.
